I get up early in summer, but not too much. The freshness of the morning helps me mitigate the heat of a new day of The Camino. From the midday the sun is tight, and is then when I start to suffer, perhaps unnecessarily.

I do not understand some of my companions of The Camino, when a lot before five o"clock in the morning, they start to assemble their packsacks waking up and going into my accumulated tiredness. So much haste for arriving before twelve to the following hostel?

Perhaps, they do not know the sense of walking slowly. Or they do not know how to enjoy the long summer nights. But especially, perhaps they do not know one of the most popular Spanish pleasures. A good siesta under the shadow of a tree and to arrive walking in the evening.

I leave you with one of those places. Close your eyes and move. It is worthwhile.
